What personal data we collect?
As part of the buying and selling process, while you interact with our website, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address from our Contact and Checkout Forms.
Why we collect it?
This information is needed to answer your questions and provide you with our services. When you use any of our forms, you consent to our collecting data and using it for a specific reason only (set your GPSmodus account, place an order, arrange a delivery, get a quote, verify your credit card and/or complete a transaction).
How we use it?
The information is processed internally to provide you with our services and is NOT SHARED externally. Our website uses external services from providers of e-commerce tools (Woocommerce), processing some ways of payments (Flow.cl and Transbank.cl) and shipping services for delivering our products to you (Chilexpress, Starken or similar local courier).
To know how to improve our website and prevent spam contacts, we use also Google Analytics tools. We limit the type of information shared with Google services to the minimum. For example we use Captcha 2.0 instead of 3.0 because this prevents sharing all the contact form content with google services. While you use your GPSmodus account, we may use cookies to provide you a list of recently viewed products and a-like. Most of these “cookies” contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. Your personal information provided to setup your GPSmodus account, will last a year after its last use and then will be removed automatically. When you delete your GPSmodus account, this information is eliminated.
For your security, the information you share with us is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and our checkout services are provided by reliable and secure services (ca. Flow.cl and/or Transbank.cl).
If you leave a comment or send us an email, this information is retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and prepare follow-ups to provide you with our services only at your request. This information is used internally and not shared. We value your privacy and respect the information you share with us.
What rights you have over your data?
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can cancel/delete your account with your personal data at anytime.
We are obliged to keep some information for administrative, legal, or security purposes regarding our products. We manage an internal database with the life story of all our products, specially our personal mobility devices. This includes the serial number of each device, date of purchase, owner and all the after-sale services we had provided. This information is used internally and not shared externally except under request of legal or police agencies. Otherwise, the owner (only) of any of our devices, can request us for the information we have about his/her devices in order to support legal actions (ca. to prove ownership), after-sales activities or any personal use.
